Ok so I know it isn't the best picture, but it was from my phone. That is one of the invites to my kiddos b-day party coming up! It says: Grease up your gears and grab your gowns, Brooklyn and Braxton are having the best robot-princess party in town! Haha kind lame I know.. well let's be honest.. Brett is the one who came up with it and I changed a few words. I saw a few adorable invites on pinterest that were princess/pirate or princess/super hero theme, but no... Braxton had to pick robots!
It is times like now when I LOVE having boy/girl twins. How fun is random mixed theme party? They are going to love it. I didn't invite friends with kids or anything, just family.. so I know I went a little overboard, but hey how often do my twins turn 3?
Well that is all! Just wanted to show my cute little invites! :)

I LOVE my kids :)
Ya know those days when you laugh the whole day at the funny stuff your kids do and say? Well I had one of those days today, there hasn't been much fighting or whining. It has been a good day and I had to post something funny.. (well it is funny to me because they are mine)
Whenever I need to get Brooklyn's attention I tend to say, "Brooklyn Ann!" Her name is already long enough but adding the Ann to it just makes her look at me and she knows I mean business. I never get Braxton's attention by using his middle name because it is to hard to say Braxton Patrick without it coming out all weird... with that being said, lately whenever Brooklyn wants to get Braxton's attention or she gets mad at him for one thing or another she yells, "BRAXTON ANN!" I laugh every time. She knows his middle name is Patrick, but she still says that. I love it.
Well that is really all I wanted to say, short and sweet :)

Spring!
I have no idea why I chose to title this one "Spring" since it is certainly not feeling very springy out with the snow we got today on the first official day of spring. What the heck? We have had a few nice days thankfully, after a whole winter of playing inside it is so nice to let the kids out and get some fresh air without freezing your butt off! We have had a busy month already! We have sold our car :( SAD. It really makes me sad, I loved my SUV... and now I have a small car. I mean don't get me wrong, the little car is nice and all but I was meant to have an SUV... I will again one day... when gas prices are supposed to creep up to $5 a gallon!
We are still workin on potty training over here. My kids have done pretty good.. it has been just over a month and they pretty much have day time down. They do really well in public places which I am really grateful for since the last thing I want to do is change wet clothes at Walmart... They still sleep in diapers.. I am just not sure how to transition to underwear over night. Seems to stressful to me at this point in time so we will stick with diapers for a little longer. Much cheaper using 2 diapers a day compared to 8-10 a day.
My birthday is this month and I really like to talk about it on a daily basis to remind my loved ones so no one is sad when they forget.. HA. But really, I like to think of it as my birthday during the whole month :) I hate surprises and if anyone knows that about me, it's my mom. I have peeked at Christmas presents for as long as I can remember, and once I even had a surprise party thrown for me and I was totally out of my element and uncomfortable.. I prefer to know things. SOOOOO with that being said, my mom got me a cricut cutting machine. I have wanted one for a while, but they are expensive! I know it isn't even my birthday until the 27th, and my mom already gave it to me.. not only did she give it to me a week early, but she sent me the confirmation e mail from amazon so I knew it was coming. Woo! I was really excited though, she is the best.
Oh and this month I found a new frosting recipe that is really good. I am not huge into frosting so if I say it's good, it is good!!! :) I can send you the recipe if you read this and want it!
Well other than all that, we have just been spending our days playing dress up, picnic, supermarket, camping, rescue the princess and any other games my kiddos think up. Gotta love a 2 almost 3 year old imagination x2!

Potty Training!
I didn't want to make a big deal out of it until I actually committed to it. I am happy to say potty training has been going on in this house for 6 days now. My kiddos have been doing really good! (I think anyway) Only about 5 or 6 accidents between the both of them in 6 days? That isn't horrible right??? Needless to say, I am proud of them and myself for finally doing it. Everyone has been bugging me about since they day the kids turned 2, and I waited until I actually thought they were ready and I am glad I did, they caught right on. We haven't gotten the night time thing down yet, but we have plenty of time. Well that's all! Just a little update :) (No pics cause I don't know how I feel about putting pics of my kids in undies on the internet!!)

Sad Times..
This week has been a very sad week in our house as well as in all of the family on Brett's side. Grandpa Don, who is Brett's grandpa died on Sunday, he put up a hard fight against a terrible cancer called Mesothelioma. He had a lung removed this summer and we all thought that he was making a good come back, until right around Christmas it got bad again. He was given 2 months to live. I remember when my grandpa died and I was in 7th grade and it was so hard and I can't imagine how hard it is for Brett having had all this time to know his grandpa. I was lucky enough to get pretty close with grandpa Don while he was here all summer for radiation. He is truly a wonderful man and will be missed by many. He will always be remembered as a kind and amazing father, brother, grandpa, and great grandpa.. and friend.
Brett's great grandma also died this week, she died on Monday. She had been in a coma for a few days, just bad timing I guess. Grandma Sue (in the picture) had to lose her husband one day and her mom the next. I cannot even wrap my mind around how she is dealing with this. She is strong. I didn't know Brett's great grandma well, but I know she was loved. I know her and grandpa Don are both in a better place, and it will all seem better as time goes on, but for now it's hard. Hard seeing people in my family hurt, hard trying to think of something to tell my kids so they don't ask if grandpa Don feels better in front of people, hard knowing they won't ever get the chance to know these people.
I am grateful to have the memories I do to pass on, as well as all Brett's memories from growing up. I love my family so much and don't want a day to go by that they don't know that.

A Whole New Year!
I haven't posted in a couple months, because let's just be honest.. my life is not THAT exciting. I decided it was time though, so one day I don't look back and wonder where we went for a few months. :)
Well, Christmas has come and gone. It was here before I knew it, I am a last minute shopper for sure. At least for people other than my kids, I was even at Walgreens on Christmas morning to get one last thing! :) We are trying to make our own family traditions to have with our kids, and one thing we have done since they were born, (3 times now!) is go look at Christmas lights. I know EVERYONE does this at some point in December and it's nothing new, but I LOVE going with my hubby and my kids. We get some hot chocolate and then cruise around for an hour or two. This year we saw some pretty cool houses, we even found out about one place we missed and had to go over there on Christmas eve, around 10. Yes I know, anyone who knows me well knows my kids rarely stay up past their usual bed time. But there are always exceptions :) They thought it was fun and that is all that matters.
On Christmas morning all their presents were under the tree and they had a good time opening all their stuff from us, and aunts and uncles and grandparents. I am so lucky that my kids have so much love in their life. It is truly a wonderful thing. After everyone went home later in the morning, we just had a relaxing day and everyone took a nap, while I cleaned up everything and vacuumed, the mess was starting to make me twitch... (not literally). It was a good day.
The next morning we headed off to Idaho Falls, we flew there in a little airplane with my Dad, it comes in handy having a pilot in the family. Brett got to fly some, he thought it was pretty cool. My dad even let Braxton fly a little, posted pictures on facebook and I don't think people knew he was actually flying, my dad let go so he could do it. SCARY. But of course my dad was right there and it was funny, Braxton kept looking back at me with a huge smile. I love that little guy.
Then came New Years, not my favorite holiday by any means. I don't make resolutions, I don't really celebrate. One day I am determined to go to an amazing party and have the time of my life with my hubby, but with small kids, it is pretty laid back. My sister in law came over to hang out for a while and we watched movies and ate food :) That is celebration enough for me! Brett was at work until 2:30 or something, but I got a sweet text at midnight. The on New Years Day, we got up at 5 ish to get ready and get the kids up and go to Idaho Falls with Aunt Abbi and Uncle Bryon (Brett's brother and his wife). We went there to visit Brett's grandpa who is pretty sick, although I have to say he looked pretty dang good for what he is going through, I won't get into details but I have to say I am lucky to know such a wonderful man and I have grateful for the time I have gotten to know him. He is a very special guy.
I am looking forward to another amazing year with my wonderful family. We will be having our 2 year anniversary soon and I couldn't be happier, it's not possible. I can't believe we have been married that long already and have many more years to come. What an amazing life I have. I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and New Year! That's all for now :)

THANKS!!!
Happy Thanksgiving! (Yesterday!)
I just wanted to take a minute to say a few things I am thankful for since I didn't really get a chance to sit down and realize how lucky I am to have what I have.
First, I am the most thankful for Brett, I mean I am thankful for my kids too cause I love em to pieces, but where would I be without my husband? My best friend. Sometimes I forget how lucky I am to have him, he does so much for our family, I don't know how he does it all but I love him for it. I am also thankful to be a stay at home mom, I wouldn't want it any other way, some people think, why would you want to stay home all day every day? Well because... I DO! I have always wanted to. I am thankful for my house, my lovely little house which I get to watch my family grow in every day. I am thankful for my car, I give serious props to the one car families because having the option to leave whenever I want to is wonderful. I am thankful for my relationships with my parents.. I love how they accept me for who I am and they do so much for my family, I just couldn't live without them. Which reminds me how I am ALSO thankful for my in laws, and my sister in laws and brother in laws. It's so nice to have family all around me.
Well that is my main list of my thankfulness :) I would have posted some pictures of our Thanksgiving, but I was too busy cooking it!!! My sister in law Abbi and I put on the whole meal, and I must say, we did a fine job cause it was all so delicious!
